Back Story on "Ready, Steady, Go" triptych. On the evening of July 4th 2026, America's 250th birthday, a fog decended on Chicago after a stormy day. Fire works were fired off but could not be seen, only heard. Walking home from our traditional fireworks viewing point, disappointed that we saw nothing in the skies but fog, the traffic lights consoled use with an atmospheric color display as the fog was illuminated at ground level, changing the scene completely with each cycle. I immediately envisioned the paintings and began capturing images to help me compose and and paint the resulting images.
